President and Founder of Chosen 4 Purpose Ministries
Hi, I’m Teri Seiler
Blindsided
My life was about to fall apart and I never saw it coming. I was doing something I loved; had almost completed raising my family; and was about to send my first born off to college. I had no doubt this new season of my life held great promise and purpose. I knew God had been preparing me for this new calling and I was ready! What I didn’t consider was the enemy’s ability to turn that same desire of fulfilling my purpose, in this season of life, to an experience that would stop it in its tracks.
Unfortunately, my desire to be “successful” at this job, redefined my definition of success. And eventually, my priorities and life balance were the first to fall with a string of compromises that would eventually set me up for burnout.
No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t seem to meet all the demands of the job, while still meeting the needs of home, relationships and personal care. Looking back on it now, the signs were all there. I just didn’t believe that someone could experience burnout in doing something they loved so much.
But, as I was soon to learn, it can. And it did. Burnout hit me on my blindside, sending me on a downward spiral I couldn’t seem to stop.
Collateral Damage
As I became more aware of the reality of what burnout can do to a person’s health - emotionally, spiritually and physically - I knew I would have to make a change. From that point on, my journey became one of seeking recovery, healing and new purpose for my life. I felt broken in every way and physically depleted to the point of no return. But God had a back-up plan for me back then.
God’s Back-up Plan
Through personal experiences and a healing journey that would teach me more than I could have ever learned in books, I now have the privilege to minister to various other women who might find themselves in a similar situation.
Today, through Chosen 4 Purpose ministries, I can reach women in all conditions and seasons of life.
Burnout can plague young women, moms, businesswomen, and/or anyone struggling with overwhelm, stress and loss of life balance. It is my desire to help these women BEFORE they reach the point of burnout.
Ministry & Mission
Since I was just a girl, God has called me to the ministry and given me a heart for worship. In fact, I still consider myself a worship pastor, even though I’m not in the typical church ministry setting as I once was.
He has shown me how I can take my own experiences, that I have just shared, and turn them into a ministry that teaches his beloved daughter’s how to worship him with their lives.
This kind of worship promotes health of mind, body and spirit. And I have learned in God’s word that this is truly the way to worship him.
And so, this is the mission of chosen4purpose ministries – to teach women, caught in the trap of overwhelm, stress, and burnout, how to worship with their life. It is my great honor to serve these women in various communities, churches and settings to bring to a place of healing, joy and balance once again.
